"France folies"

Films: Rise of the Gargoyles (2009)

Alias: Lamashtu (She Who Erases), the Dragon Beast

Type: Mystical

Location: Underground/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: Twice that of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Once again, we indulge in the world of monstrous gargoyles. Because let's face it, that Disney cartoon is never going to get a reboot (probably for the best), and we need to fill the gap somehow.

History: Beneath an ancient church in Paris, France older than the Roman empire itself, a dark brood is awakening. A gargoyle known as Lamashtu has been waiting for the time in which her eggs will hatch, and bring upon the desolation of mankind. Luckily, a gargoyle specialist and company are on the case.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Eventually, the church is blown up from the inside by a man who's been hunting Lamashtu for a long time. The trap works, the nest is obliterated, and Lamashtu is no more.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-Lamashtu's brood would certainly pose a nasty threat to humanity, but if we could just get past the bad CGI effects, then maybe more people would be intimidated. Also, an explosion managed to take out this so-called demon. Really?

Trivia: -Lamashtu is a Mesopotamian demon Goddess infamous for attacking women who were pregnant and/or raising small children. She is the daughter of Anu the sky God, and is often depicted as some sort of hideous griffin/donkey thing.

-Despite being set in Paris, none of the cars shown have the number 75 at the end of their license plates, which all French cars do.
